God Will Not Forsake His Righteous

As I prepare to travel this weekend to visit my sister, my devotion this morning as well as a tv program that I had been watching both converged on this verse. I had randomly picked a Psalm to read this morning and prayed the Lord would guide my reading. I am always amazed at how the Holy Spirit never fails to keep me in awe of His guidance and being able to truly know that He is listening as well as answering us. This is not the first instance of hearing and randomly reading the same verse and I know it will not be the last. I am so thankful that God hears and He answers. He is not far away. This is the verse that I will be meditating on today and tomorrow morning before I travel.

“The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand. I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.”
Psalms 37:23-25 ESV

It is very comforting to know that the Lord will never forsake us. He is with us wherever we travel. There is no where on this earth that we can travel that the Lord would not be with us. Praise God! that is amazing and this calms my soul to be reminded of God's truth before I get ready to travel away from my family this weekend.

I pray that this will speak to your soul as well today. I hope that you have a very blessed day today and all the days of your life.

In Christ,
Rebecca
